What Is The World Tavern Poker Tour? The World Tavern Poker Tour is a Nationwide Poker League where you will be competing during the season in Tournament Style Poker Events at the Pioneer. The top 20 players in each tournament receive points, and are ranked at the Tavern, Regional and National Levels. At the end of the season, the top players at each tavern qualify for the Tavern Championship, and the top players from each Tavern Championship qualify for the Area Championship. What Is The Format? Each No Limit Texas Hold 'Em Tournament is comprised of several players whereas you will be playing until one man or woman is left standing. 
What Is The Buy In? There are NEVER ANY BUY INS or any gambling taking place at World Tavern Poker Tour Events. We take this very seriously, and any Player or Tavern who is caught gambling will be immediately eliminated from the league. How Do I Register For A Tournament? First, you must be registered as a player with the WTPT to be eligible for points. You can still play without registering, but you will not be eligible for any points. Click here: World Tavern Poker to register online. Click on Player Registration and fill out the information. When you are done, you can log in and view all of the events available to register for. Next to our Tavern's name on the schedule, you will find a Register button, simply click on this button and confirm your registration when the new window opens. 
Can I Come & Play Without Registering? Yes, you can still play if there is room, but you will not be eligible to accumulate points. What Can I Win! There are NO cash payouts! Players are playing for points. Pioneer Gift Certificates will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners in each tournament. ($25, $15, $5) Win A Seat At The National! If you have qualified by either being in the top 10 for the season at the Pioneer or winning a table at the semi-finals of the Pioneer Tavern Championship then you are quaranteed a seat at the Regional Tournament. Regional Championships are a great time!!!! This gives you the opportunity to meet and compete against some of the best players in your area. The top players receive prizes including Chip Sets, Table Tops and more! But what you are really playing for is your seat in the National Championship. The top 6 players from the Regional Tournament receive seats in the National Championship with the Regional Champion receiving hotel accommodations for Nationals and 1 VIP World Tavern Poker Open badge. |
